Rock bands Shinedown and Breaking Benjamin team up for a co-headlining U.S. tour that makes a stop at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on Oct. 22.

Shinedown’s first album “Leave a Whisper” included tracks such as “Fly From the Inside,” “Burning Bright,” “45” and a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.” They followed up in 2005 with the album “Us and Them” with seven consecutive top-five radio hits, including “Save Me.”

But the band’s big break came in 2008 when “The Sound of Madness” helped them break into the mainstream. Each of its six singles reached No. 1 on the airplay rankings, including the double-platinum certified crossover smash “Second Chance.”

Breaking Benjamin found success in 2004 when “We Are Not Alone” debuted with a pair of No. 1 radio hits, “So Cold” and “Sooner or Later.”

Their 2006 album “Phobia” debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 with songs such as “Breath,” “Diary of Jane” and “Until the End.”
