San Diego school closures

As of 9:30 a.m., the San Diego Unified School District had announced these closures:

-- Mira Mesa: Mira Mesa High School; Challenger and Wangenheim middle schools; Ericson, Hage, Hickman, Walker, Mason and Sandburg Elementary schools; Sandburg and Walker child development centers.

-- Scripps Ranch: Scripps Ranch High School, Marshall Middle School, Dingeman, Jerabek, Miramar Ranch, E.B. Scripps elementary schools.

-- Camp Palomar on Palomar Mountain.

-- Charter Schools: Health Sciences Charter School, Arroyo Paseo High School, Door of Hope. For other charter schools, contact the charter school directly.

-- The Board of Education workshop scheduled for today has been canceled.

Schools that remain open are keeping students indoors and limiting their physical activity.
