A day after news broke that actor Tom Sizemore had been questioned by police regarding a woman friend who’d gone missing, Megan Wren has been found.
Wren, 25, an aspiring actress, surfaced in a home near downtown Los Angeles, police told People on Saturday, releasing no other details about her disappearance. Wren was last seen the afternoon of March 31 near downtown L.A. Her family reported her missing April 29, according to LAist, and the LAPD published a missing persons blog post about her May 6.
‘I am [relieved] and happy Megan is safe and sound,’ Sizemore told TMZ on Saturday. ‘It is unfortunate that she did not come forward immediately.’
Saying he was putting the matter behind him, Sizemore, 49, wished Wren and her family the best in his statement and added that he was pleased she hadn’t been harmed. The ‘Saving Private Ryan’ actor reportedly spoke with detectives last week before heading off to Germany for a USO tour.
Sizemore rep Charles Lago said Saturday that he was upset his client’s name was part of the story, reiterating to E! News that Wren was simply a neighbor who had once lived in Sizemore’s building, and not the actor’s girlfriend, as some outlets initially reported, or his assistant, as Wren’s father reportedly believed.
‘Sizemore has zero to do with it, and now this happened and we have to deal with it,’ said Lago, who told Radar Online he’d offered police the option to search the actor’s downtown loft for clues. Police declined the offer.
Wren has been reunited with her family, People said.
