Jamie McCourt speaks to MLB Network about Manny and more

Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt spoke to MLB Network host Victor Rojas Thursday in Secaucus, N.J. The full interview will air Monday on the ‘MLB Tonight’ show, but the network released some highlights.

McCourt was back east to receive the WISE Women of the Year award. She was asked about her reaction to the doping suspension of Manny Ramirez.

‘I think we were all disappointed. We’re not different than the fans. No one expected it; no one saw it coming, so we’ll just welcome him back with open arms when he comes. I think the point is he was a great athlete anyway and it’s not for me to judge. I have no idea what he did or didn’t do. But it’s clear that the Commissioner’s program is working. If something is found, they’re going to uphold the initiative or what he’s looking to do and everybody has to live by it. ‘
