Boyle Heights: Man, 20, shot in head

George Ramirez, a 20-year-old Latino man, was shot in the head and killed in the 500 block of South St. Louis Street in Boyle Heights just before midnight Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, according authorities.

Ramirez, of Pico Rivera, was shot multiple times in his garage when a black Cadillac drove by, said Sgt. Ruby Malachi, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department. About a minute later, Abel Garcia, a 19-year-old Latino man, was killed on the same block by someone driving by in a white car, she said.
