Sporting events postponed because of wildfires

According to the Ventura County Star, the Pacific View League girls’ golf tournament has been postponed because of the local wildfires.

The story also says all Marmonte League athletic events other than girls’ volleyball matches scheduled for Tuesday could be postponed.

I haven’t heard or seen anything official, but I can only assume it’s the same for every school in Santa Clarita since all schools in the Hart Unified School District are closed for the day because of the Buckweed and Ranch fires.

And I gotta tell you, it looks likes Sodom and Gommorah out here right now. I live in the mountains north of Santa Clarita and we’ve been given our mandatory evacuation notices. So, I’m on the fly from here on out.
