I really expected Marlborough and Cajon to be a good game Saturday at the Ayala Extravaganza.

It wasn’t.

The Cajon Cowboys (Cowgirls?) looked good in the first half, openiing a 42-21 lead, and then coasted to a 65-51 victory.

Darshae Burnside looked great in the first half when she scored all 19 of her points. Layshia Clarendon scored 21, and Bjonee Reaves had 13 points and 11 assists.

Yep, Cajon looked a lot better than when last I saw them playing against Millikan.

I’m not sure they would have had enough for Miller, the team Cajon Coach Mark Lehman wanted to play, but it would have been interesting.
