Ray Hanson, who was 9-0 as a pitcher last season and was 3-0 this season until he broke a bone in his non-pitching hand last March, is scheduled to start on the mound tonight for Long Beach Wilson in its Southern Section-Toyota Division I semifinal against Norco.

Hanson pitched to seven batters in a playoff game against Tesoro, his first appearance in 2 1/2 months. Coach Andy Hall says he hopes Hanson has 100 pitches in him tonight. His return should be a big lift for the defending champion Bruins. It allows them to have pitcher-outfielder Aaron Hicks ready for relief duty.
