Calabasas Viewpoint filed a protest before its 8-7 loss to host Avalon in Tuesday’s Southern Section-Toyota Division VII semifinal because the game was not played on a regulation field, and the Southern Section office will decide a course of action on Wednesday.

The length from the pitcher’s mound to home plate was 62 feet instead of the regulation 60 feet 6 inches. The length from home plate to first base was 92 feet instead of the regulation 90 feet.

The Southern Section could deny the protest, could uphold it and force another game to be played or could simply move Viewpoint into Saturday’s Division VII final at UC Riverside.
