UC Santa Barbara-bound catcher Lainey DePompa, making her first start since suffering a run injury on March 29, led off the inning with a single and then scored from third on a two-run single three batters later.

La Serna squandered an opportunity to score in the first inning when they stranded runners at third and second with two outs.
