Softball: La Serna upsets top-seeded Crescenta Valley, 3-2

La Serna came back from a two-run deficit to beat top-seeded and previously undefeated Crescenta Valley, 3-2, in a Southern Section-Toyota Division III semifinal at Crescenta Valley.

Starting pitcher Holly Consterdine finished with 11 strikeouts and third baseman Brandi Rummel had three hits in four at-bats, including a two-run home run that tied the score in the fourth inning.

La Serna will play the winner of Cajon and Paloma Valley in the championship game either Friday or Saturday at Barber Park in Irvine.
