Track: Injured hurdler receives scholarship

Mikio Island of Encino Crespi suffered a torn ACL during the football season, eliminating his chances of competing in the hurdles this spring while also raising the question if any colleges would be still interested in recruiting him.

Island won’t be able to compete in the hurdles during his senior year but he has accepted a track scholarship to Boise State.
