The U.S. team has advanced to the gold medal game at the Maccabiah Games in Israel after a 17-0 victory over Mexico. The U.S. will play Canada in the final.
Max Fried from Van Nuys Montclair Prep had two hits. Shane Crofts from Agoura threw three scoreless innings with eight strikeouts. Andrew Wolfson from Laguna Hills added two shutout innings.
