Baseball: Urban Youth Academy hosts Breakthrough Series

The Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy in Compton is hosting the Breakthrough Series today through Thursday in which rising high school junior and senior players from urban areas throughout the country who have not participated in other travel tournaments come together for competition.
Among the 80 players expected to participate are 21 from California. Games are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
