Football: Transfer QB declared ineligible

Michael Bercovici, a junior quarterback who transferred in the middle of the season from Westlake Village Westlake to Woodland Hills Taft, has been declared ineligible by City Section Commissioner Barbara Fiege after determining the transfer was ‘athletically motivated,’ according to assistant commissioner John Aguirre.

Bercovici will have to miss this season unless he wins eligibility from an appeals panel.
