Girls’ basketball: Tonight’s the big game

This is the Lakers versus the Clippers, if the Clippers were any good.

The two best girls’ basketball teams in Southern California, and two of the top-rated teams in the nation, Mater Dei and Brea Olinda, practice and play about 15 miles away from each other.

And tonight at 7:30, they will face off at Mater Dei.

The teams are playing to raise money for the family of former Orange Lutheran coach Tony Matson.
