Football: Marmonte League granted fifth playoff spot

By emergency action, the Southern Section Council voted today to approve five playoff spots for leagues that have nine or 10 teams, and that means the 10-team Marmonte League this fall will be able to send five teams to the playoffs.

It’s a big decision to help public schools in the league still not pleased that Ventura St. Bonaventure and Westlake Village Oaks Christian will be joining the league for football only.
