BAKERSFIELD _ Westchester improved to 6-0 in state championship games under Coach Ed Azzam, winning the Division I title with a 63-56 victory over Newark Memorial.

Kareem Jamar scored 16 points, Denzel Douglas 12 and Jordin Mayes 11 for the Comets (32-3). Khion Sankey had 25 points for Newark (30-5).
