It’s an attendance bust in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD _ The people were nice, the food was great and the weather was perfect, but the fans were missing this weekend for the state basketball championships.

Whether because it was spring break, lack of interest or travel limitations, basketball fans stayed away from Rabobank Arena.

Friday’s attendance was 3,843 for four games. Saturday’s attendance was 4,943 for six games. That’s pretty bad.

It’s back to Sacramento next season.
