Four Teen-Agers Killed, One Injured in Van Crash

NEW YORK —
A speeding van went out of control, crashed through a fence and plunged into a Brooklyn boat basin, killing four teen-agers and critically injuring a fifth, officials said Tuesday.
Before the van plunged into the 20-foot-deep basin Monday night, its left rear wheel clipped a firebox, alerting firefighters who arrived within minutes and began rescue operations.
