A judge in Red Bluff lowered bail for Cameron Hooker--the mill worker accused of holding a young woman as a sex slave for seven years--from $500,000 to $150,000, but refused a defense lawyer’s request that it be further reduced to $50,000. Hooker, 32, used a hand to shield his face from cameras during the hearing before Superior Court Judge Stanley Young. Hooker has pleaded innocent to 18 felony counts stemming from the alleged abduction of the Southern California woman, who told investigators that he held her captive in his Red Bluff residence, torturing her and raping her repeatedly before she finally fled last August.
