Coast to Move Headquarters
Coast Savings & Loan has announced that it will relocate its corporate headquarters in the spring of 1987 from the landmark office building at 9th and Hill streets, where it has been for 50 years, to the 1000 Wilshire Building now under construction.
Cushman Realty Corp. negotiated both the sale of the old headquarters to Chicago-based Shoreland Vistas Inc. and Coast’s subsequent lease of 57,000 square feet in the the Wilshire Boulevard building. The total value of the sale and 15-year lease exceeds $41 million.
Coast will occupy floors 19, 20 and 21 of the 1000 Wilshire building with an option to expand an additional two floors, and will occupy 10,000 square feet on the ground floor for its corporate branch.
