The 44-story art deco-style building in downtown Pittsburgh is being sold to AGV Enterprises of New York City, Chevron said. Terms of the deal will not be released until closing, which is scheduled for September. The skyscraper served as Gulf Oil’s headquarters for 52 years. The building’s sale is the latest step in the continuing absorption of Gulf by Chevron, which bought it last year in the world’s largest corporate merger. Gulf’s headquarters is being transferred to San Francisco, where Chevron is based. The building now houses about 600 Gulf employees.
