Firefighters have been called to rescue people from a lot of tight spots--but rarely out of a pair of designer jeans. Liz Villagomez, 26, knew she was in trouble when she tried on her cousin’s designer jeans and the zipper snagged a couple of inches below her navel. San Jose Fire Department spokesman Guy Newgren said the two women tried to budge the zipper, but finally gave up and called firefighters. Capt. Bob Edwards picked up his surgical scissors and responded with two other firefighters. Edwards carefully clipped the zipper tooth by tooth.
