About 25 San Diego police officers and SWAT team members stormed an apartment in the 1600 block of Pentacost Way early Saturday and arrested two people on suspicion of possession and sale of cocaine.

Kennedy Peter Gamboa, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old male companion were arrested, and a child in the apartment was treated at a nearby hospital for inhalation of tear gas, a police spokesman said.

Police recovered several weapons and two ounces of cocaine with a street value of about $4,000, a spokesman said. The officers shot tear gas into the apartment, which had a front door made of sheet metal and covered with steel bars. They found a similar door in the apartment hallway with a hole cut in the middle through which drugs could have been passed, police said.
