Attorney Brian Walton, a partner with the law firm that has been the outside counsel for the Writers Guild of America, West, has been elected executive director of the authors’ group. Walton, 37, a partner in the Century City law firm of Selvin & Weiner, was selected by unanimous vote of the Writers Guild Board of Directors, the group said. Walton’s appointment as executive director will be submitted to the guild’s general membership for approval in September.
