Motorcyclist Killed: A former Garden Grove policeman was killed in a high-speed motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon on Santiago Canyon Road just north of Silverado Canyon Road, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said. Glenn Burton Jackson, 41, of Orange, lost control of the motorcycle on a curve at about 120 m.p.h., according to CHP Dispatcher Rick Crow. The motorcycle hit a road marker, flew 60 feet through the air, struck an embankment and then flipped end over end for 300 feet, Crow said. Jackson died at the scene. Garden Grove police said Jackson was named Rookie of the Year in 1971. He took a medical retirement after eight years on the force and was working as a security guard at Laguna Hills Leisure World.
