Parking Spaces Added: Visitors to Laguna Beach will be able to find some additional parking downtown today and Sunday after a decision by the city to open the top level of the as-yet-unfinished Glenneyrie Street parking structure.

On both days, motorists who use the parking structure will be able park all day for $3 per car, said Terry Brandt, Laguna Beach’s director of municipal services.

Although the parking garage is still under construction, Brandt said that the city decided to make about 70 spaces available this weekend because of basketball and volleyball tournaments to be held at Main Beach. Meanwhile, the Laguna Beach Parking, Traffic and Circulation Committee, meeting earlier this week, voted to recommend to the City Council that an additional hour of free parking be provided to motorists.
