A PLEA FOR PAOLO THE WONDERDOG

Paolo is lost--or maybe dognaped. Nancy West, whose faithful companion achieved Letters Page celebrity Feb. 24 for his Sunday newspaper-schlepping skills, above, has appealed for help in finding her beloved pet. According to West, the black, brown and tan sheltie was spooked by fireworks and jumped out a window of a house in Manhattan Beach on July 3. Unfortunately, he wasn’t wearing his dog collar. West has driven around, visited dog pounds, put up signs and placed a couple hundred bucks worth of newspaper ads to no avail.
