Two girls found abandoned in an airport terminal were placed in their grandmother’s care as investigators attempted to find their mother, Los Angeles police said. Song Duncan, 32, a Korean immigrant who met the girls’ father when he was stationed at a U.S. Army base in Korea, was seen with the children Wednesday near the Delta Airlines terminal at Los Angeles International Airport, Police Officer Margie Mastro said. Later, an airport worker noticed Aisha, 2, and Tashaya, 4, and called the police airport substation. After pictures of the girls were shown on television, their grandmother, Dolores Duncan of Pasadena, called police. The girls’ father, Bennett Duncan, is stationed in Panama. “He’s been told of what happened, but no one knows where the mother is,” said a family member, who asked not to be identified.
