S. Africa Editor Honored

LISBON —
Anthony Heard, a South African editor awaiting trial on charges of defying press restrictions, received the 1986 Golden Pen of Freedom award from the International Federation of Newspaper Editors here Monday. As editor of the liberal Cape Times, Heard in November, 1985, published a lengthy interview with Oliver Tambo, leader of the banned African National Congress.
