Vice President George Bush, en route to the Middle East, may cap his tour by visiting Morocco if it would help spur Arab-Israeli peace efforts, Bush’s press secretary, Marlin Fitzwater, said. “At the moment, we don’t have any plans to go to Morocco, but I wouldn’t rule it out,” Fitzwater said in Frankfurt, West Germany, where Bush was to spend the night before going to Jerusalem for talks with Israeli leaders. Bush also has scheduled meetings with King Hussein in Jordan and with President Hosni Mubarak in Egypt. Bush left Washington on Friday for the 10-day tour. Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres met last week in Morocco with King Hassan II on Middle East peace issues.
