County : Anaheim Honored for Program to Ease Traffic
The City of Anaheim and 15 organizations have been honored by the Orange County Transportation Commission for promoting programs that ease traffic congestion, save time and gasoline and reduce air pollution.
Anaheim received the Transportation Partnership Award for creating the position of transportation event coordinator, which links all major hotels, recreational facilities and convention areas within the city to coordinate efforts when major events occur.
Other award winners included Northrop Corp., Parker-Hannifin Corp., the Internal Revenue Service, World Airways, Setco Inc., the Orange County Environmental Management Agency, Caltrans and Lear Siegler.
