Cypress to Fill Traffic, Recreation Panel Posts
The City Council has launched a search for new members to sit on two of its advisory commissions.
One member is being sought for the Traffic Commission, which meets at 3 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. The commission advises the council on administration and enforcement of traffic regulations. To be a traffic commissioner, a person must be a registered voter and live within the city.
Another member is being sought for the Recreation and Community Services Commission, which meets on the same Tuesdays as the Traffic Commission but at 7:30 p.m. Members of this commission must be registered voters and live within the Cypress Recreation and Park District, whose boundaries are somewhat different from the city’s.
Applicants must apply in writing to the personnel office at City Hall by Sept. 19. Application forms are available at that office.
