Arcadia : Neighborhood Watch Back
The Arcadia Police Department is reorganizing its Neighborhood Watch program.
The new program will include 38 area coordinators, who will oversee 400 block captains and who will report to agent Don Alcorn, who is heading the program for the Police Department. Alcorn is recruiting block captains who will each be responsible for 30 to 40 houses.
Alcorn said that with the department’s new computer, he can pinpoint crime trends in certain areas. After determining the trend, he will contact the area coordinator, who in turn will ask block captains to tell their households to watch for suspicious vehicles or people.
