A London newspaper reported that Libya has provided Iran and Syria with nerve-gas warheads for Soviet-built missiles that “could kill every human” in a three-mile radius of their targets. The Sunday Telegraph said the warheads give Iran and Syria “the capability to launch devastating strikes on Israeli cities.” But, the newspaper said, the first use of such a weapon could be made by Iran against Iraq in “a dramatic show of strength”--a nerve gas attack against the Iraqi capital of Baghdad or its oil complex at Kirkuk.
