Time Bomb Defused Near Abortion Clinic

LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich. —
Police bomb specialists on Thursday defused a homemade bomb 15 minutes before it was set to go off outside an abortion clinic in this Detroit suburb.
About 25 people in the Womancare clinic and two adjacent buildings were evacuated for about three hours while the bomb was rendered harmless, police said. There were no injuries.
