172 on Faculty Petition Yale to Sell S. Africa Stock

NEW HAVEN, Conn. —
Yale University faculty released a petition Thursday signed by 172 members calling on the Ivy League institution to sell its stock in companies doing business in South Africa. A spokesman said the petition would be presented today to the Yale Corp., the university’s board of trustees, and Yale President Benno C. Schmidt Jr.
