Attorney Anthony J. Battaglia this week was elected president of the San Diego Trial Lawyers Assn., succeeding Steven R. Denton.

Other officers elected Thursday night for one-year terms were Louisa Porter and Robert Grimes, vice presidents; Virginia Nelson, treasurer; Craig McClellan, secretary, and David Ronquillo, parliamentarian.

The association also made its annual presentation of honors. San Diego County Superior Court Judge G. Dennis Adams was named trial judge of the year. Insurance expert Harvey Levine was named trial lawyer of the year. Assemblywoman Sunny Mojonnier was honored as legislator of the year.

Also, the association presented its president’s award to attorney Dave Casey Jr.
