The Rams’ Mike Schad, the only Canadian college football player selected in the first round of the NFL draft, was arraigned in provincial court on charges of assault causing bodily harm in Kingston, Ontario.

Schad, 23, was charged early Sunday morning after he was alleged to have assaulted a man in a bar. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman signed a four-year contract with the Rams last year reported to be worth $1.3 million. However, an injury to his lower back during preseason practice sidelined Schad for the season.
