17% Increase Reported by CMS Enhancements

CMS Enhancements Inc., a computer parts manufacturer and distributor based in Costa Mesa, posted net earnings of $475,908 for its second fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31, a 17% rise from $407,463 recorded in the year-earlier period.

Second-quarter revenue was a record $25.3 million, more than double the $12 million in sales reported a year earlier.

The company’s six-month earnings of $848,138 were up 52% from the $556,296 posted for the first half of fiscal 1986, while revenue of $40.3 million was 127% higher than the $17.7 million of a year earlier.

The company said net income for the second quarter was affected by a $1.3-million investment in research and development.
