Chrysler Corp. Chairman Lee A. Iacocca last year reaped more than $20 million from salary, bonus, stock and other payments from the No. 3 U.S. auto maker, making him one of the highest-paid executives in U.S. corporate history, the company disclosed today.

The company, in a legally required disclosure released on the Good Friday holiday, when the auto industry closes down, said the 62-year-old Iacocca exercised stock options that netted him nearly $9.56 million in 1986. Embattled General Motors Corp., the world’s biggest corporation and the No. 1 U.S. auto maker, Thursday disclosed that Chairman Roger Smith received nearly $2 million in 1986 salary, bonus and other pay.
