Holiday Inns said 10 of the chain’s motels in Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Texas were picketed by the National Federation for Decency, which claims the chain shows pornographic movies in its rooms. Ken Lerer, spokesman for Holiday Inns in Jackson, Miss., said the chain shows R-rated movies only if the guest pays at the main desk, and then when in the room, the guest must punch in a specified sequence of numbers to get the channel.
