Pakistani troops were called out in Karachi in the third straight day of ethnic rioting between two refugee groups, officials said. Authorities said five new deaths were reported, pushing the toll to 15 in fighting that erupted over occupancy of low-income housing. About 70 people have been reported injured. The fighting involves Urdu-speaking Mohajir refugees from India and Pushtuns from northern Pakistan and Afghanistan. The army also was called out in Hyderabad, about 100 miles northeast of Karachi, to quell ethnic violence continuing for the second day.
