Yorba Linda : Man Dies of Injuries in One-Car Collision
A 19-year-old Yorba Linda man died Sunday of injuries he suffered when his car smashed into a concrete barrier at high speed, police said.
David Leo Smith was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:22 a.m., a Brea police spokeswoman said. Yorba Linda contracts with Brea for police services.
Smith was headed east on Esperanza Road near Via Del Cazador when he struck the curb, crossed five lanes of traffic and hit the barrier, police said.
No other motorists were involved.
