Cindy Brown of Cal State Long Beach...

Cindy Brown of Cal State Long Beach and Cynthia Cooper of USC were named to the U.S. National women’s basketball team for the Pan American Games in Indianapolis in August.

The team will be coached by Jody Conradt of the University of Texas, who will have four of her players on the squad--Kamie Ethridge, Andrea Lloyd, Fran Harris and Clarissa Davis.

Others named were Olympic veteran Anne Donovan, Jennifer Gillom of Mississippi, Cynthia Edwards and Katrina McClain of Georgia, Maria Rivera of Miami and Sue Wicks of Rutgers.

Notably missing is 1984 Olympian Cheryl Miller of USC, who recently injured her right knee.
