Bear That Killed Man Won’t Be Destroyed

GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, Mont. —
Officials say they have no plans to destroy a mother grizzly bear that apparently acted to protect its cubs and killed a wildlife photographer in Glacier National Park.
Assistant Park Supt. Alan O’Neill said a 20-member rescue unit using dogs found the body of Charles Gibbs, 40, on Sunday in the southern end of the park.
