Woman’s Body Found in N. Hollywood Alley
The body of an unidentified young woman was found wrapped in a rug in a North Hollywood alley Friday , police said.
No signs of violence were apparent on the unclothed body, but detectives believe the woman died elsewhere before her body was dumped behind an apartment complex in the 5500 block of Colfax Avenue, Los Angeles Police Detective Howard Landgren said.
City sanitation workers found the body about 8 a.m. next to several trash cans , Landgren said.
He would not estimate how long the body had been there or how long the woman had been dead. An autopsy is pending.
The woman appeared to be in her mid-20s, the detective said.
