After a week of rumors that he would be taking the job, Clay Felker is now officially ensconced as the new editor of Manhattan, inc.. Felker--the former Esquire editor who, among other things, founded New York and New West (now California magazine), fills the spot vacated by Manhattan’s founding editor Jane Amsterdam, who resigned over editorial differences with D. Herbert Lipson, publisher of the small (85,000 circulation) but influential business magazine that has garnered a national excellence award in its three-year existence.
