The number of commercial air flights into South Lake Tahoe dropped from 35 to 19 a week with the end on Labor Day of the summer segment of an interim agreement on expanded air service. No increase is expected until the Thanksgiving and winter segments of the agreement take effect. City Public Works Director Ed Brauner said an airport consensus group is still working out details but it is anticipated flights will increase again to 35 a week.
